Van Zandt County officials asking for information after woman fatally shot in vehicle

VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A woman was fatally shot while driving last week in Van Zandt County and officials are asking for help with the case.
Sherry Banks, 62, of Edom, was shot while driving on FM 279, near the Van Zandt and Smith county line. The Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office says the incident occurred between 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday.
Officials say Banks' vehicle left the roadway and ended up in a wooded area.
