The internet has hailed the dawn of a new "political bromance" after France's newly-elected President Emmanuel Macron was filmed strolling through a garden with Canada's Justin Trudeau.

The photogenic pair caught up at the G7 summit in Sicily.

Mr Macron tweeted: "Franco-Canadian friendship has a new face".
