We love the Shirlington Dog Park -- it provides people and their dogs a chance to walk, play and socialize in a beautiful, off leash park.  At the last Four Mile Run Valley Working Group meeting the Arlington County staff said they will be recommending to the County Board at a work session on May 30 that the Shirlington dog park be reduced in size by nearly half and its characteristics be unnecessarily changed for the worse.  We strongly urge that the Arlington County Board make no change to the Shirlington Dog park that would reduce its size or quality.
