What They’re Saying About Robert Spencer

“My comrade-in-arms, my pal, my buddy.” — Oriana Fallaci

“A hero of our times and one of the bravest defenders of liberty that I have ever met.” — Geert Wilders

“No one has upset the Islamophobia cabal more than Robert Spencer. First, he knows more about Islamic doctrine than they do. Next, he has outed all the tricks they use in their taqiyyah bag to disinform the public. Finally, and most importantly, Robert will not be cowed.” — Ayaan Hirsi Ali

“One of the top two or three experts in the world on this great war…against fundamental Islam. One of the top two or three experts in this nation about trying to suppress speech. People should know that Robert Spencer has been the tip of the spear in warning America, in fighting against radical Islamic jihad, not just here in this country – where you’ve done an amazing job – but throughout the world. Robert, you’re one of the true patriots in this country, and you’ve risked so much, including your life, your fortune, and your sacred honor, and your pursuit of happiness. You’re a great patriot to this country.” — Stephen K. Bannon, former Trump Administration Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor

“One of the most important writers living today…his books should be required reading.” — Dennis Prager

“Robert Spencer incarnates intellectual courage when, all over the world, governments, intellectuals, churches, universities and media crawl under a hegemonic Universal Caliphate’s New Order. His achievement in the battle for the survival of free speech and dignity of man will remain as a fundamental monument to the love of, and the self-sacrifice for, liberty.” — Bat Ye’or

“A leading figure of the conservative movement in the US.” — Limerick Leader (Ireland)

“Distinguished scholar.” — Akbar Ahmed, Ibn-e-Khaldoon chair of Islamic Studies, American University, Washington, D.C.

“Robert Spencer is indefatigable. He is keeping up the good fight long after many have already given up. I do not know what we would do without him. I appreciate all the intelligence and courage it takes to keep going despite the appeasement of the West.” — Ibn Warraq

Robert Spencer delivers vital contemporary insight into the war on free speech. It is just a depressing, very depressing shame that not enough of the mainstream public pundits who pay lip service to free speech will even bother considering what Robert here has to say. Why? Because he is a conservative, and unfortunately in this day and age that means borderline Nazi. Absurd I know.
The book itself reads like a long journalistic account of authentic well documented cases of how our free speech is being encroached on in universities, societies and governments across the West (though focusing mainly on America). Robert not only draws on his own experiences of the frictions he has come across in trying to get a hearing on whatever platform he is invited on, but of course also shows that of many others, whether it is some random guy in the UK who got arrested for writing something 'offensive' on Facebook, to the more high profile speakers on Islam like Aayan Hirsi Ali who was due to receive an honorary degree from Brandeis university for her feminist and human rights work, only to have it rescinded at the last minute due to concern for Muslims feelings.

The fact a book like this has to be written at all is a VERY clear indication of how bad things have got. The perks of a book like this is that it amasses many real free speech impeachments in one volume (saves having to have a zillion articles from different websites printed out and put into a folder). The book reads easy (finished it in two days, and I'm a slow reader). I really like how all the way through the book it is sprinkled with free speech quotes from George Washington to Salman Rushdie. Robert Spencer is indefatigable in his fight for an open free society (shouldn't everyone be?), and I know if I'd gone through the smear campaign he has that I would have faltered long ago and probably hid out in 'safe spaces'. Kudos to him! I wish all the politicians here in Australia would read this. I got quite saddened at reading how much the various left wing and Muslim student groups bullied Jewish students. Made me angry too.
Why is everyone scared of debate about Islam? I think many of the Muslims are because it isn't hard at all to show how inherently violent their religion is. And I think many lefty non-Muslims are because they don't want to acknowledge that Islam more than Western Capitalism and past European colonialism is responsible for today's Islamic terrorism. So yeah, definately a worth while read. I highly recommend. By the way I'm not a right winger or anything. I'm vegetarian. I believe in reincarnation, astrology and a bunch of other hippy stuff. My point is that you don't have to be right wing to oppose sharia or think that blaming Israel for everything is stupid.

"An indispensable book for perilous times, written by a true hero"

Robert Spencer’s latest book is probably his most timely and most needed. It takes the reader on a deep dive into modern censorship from both Islam and the Left, the colluding evil twins of our era. The book explores how Western governments, academia and the titans of social media (in particular Facebook, Twitter and YouTube) censor the genuine threat of Islamic jihad by banning truth-tellers like Spencer, while permitting literal death-threats by Islamist jihadists against them to stand.

In particular, Spencer explores the “inverted causality” of blaming those who warn of Islamic jihad for outbreaks of Islamic terrorism, instead of the actual Islamic perpetrators. Mohammed Atta’s words on the intercom to the doomed passengers stand as a metaphor: “Just stay quiet, and you’ll be okay.” Western governments, social media titans and leaders of academia all seem to be heeding Atta’s instructions, demanding that ordinary people stay quiet in the face of the mortal peril of Islamic jihad in all its forms.

The book is sweeping in scope, but it’s really about a choice that the West is facing between moral cowardice and courage. Spencer details the struggles of many heroes of the counter-jihad, and I’d like to mention some of them: Pamela Geller, Geert Wilders, Elisabeth Sabaditsch Wolff, Salman Rushdie, Oriana Fallaci, Ezra Levant, Mark Steyn, Nonie Darwish, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and David Horowitz, among many others.

Ultimately the fate of Western civilization will depend on individual personal courage. We all know the danger that we face from the diabolical 1,400-year-old conquest strategy known as Islam, but most people (and the institutions they too often sadly lead) are moral cowards who prefer to pretend that evil is good and good is evil, rather than grasp the nettle of truth, because people of genuine good will don’t threaten, ultimately, to behead them. These moral cowards, if allowed to stand in the way of the counter-jihad, will bequeath a brutal and irreversible dark age of Islamic tyranny to future generations.

Now is the time for heroes to stand up, and Robert Spencer, who has faced countless character smears, personal attacks, a failed terror plot in Garland Texas and even a recent poisoning attempt in Iceland, is one of the giants.

Another excellent book by Robert Spencer. In spite of continued harassment and attempts to shut down Robert Spencer's open and honest discussions of the greatest calamity facing Western civilization, he maintains his calm equilibrium and clearly offers the facts of the encroaching loss of free speech. A must read for anyone who wants to know what is happening in the West and how foes of individualism and freedom are implementing their plan to crush all opposition to their world view.

An urgent call to the West to defeat the dual totalitarian threats posed by the unholy alliance of Islam and the Left. Both need to be utterly crushed before it's too late.
Our leaders have to stand up and be counted. Free speech must be encouraged not suppressed.

There have been several terrific books written on this subject from across the political spectrum, not all focusing exclusively on Islamism, but this one is the best. Wonderfully written chapters are spliced with fascinating quotes and other items (such as the opening statement from Geert Wilders at his latest trial). Dynamite read.
