Abstract: Objective To explore the expressions and their clinical significance of nm23 and IMP3 in the breast invasive duct carcinoma. Methods The expressions of nm23 and IMP3 were detected by immunohistochemistry S-P method in the breast invasive duct carcinoma tissues and the corresponding adjacent normal tissues. The correlation between nm23 and IMP3 was analyzed.A statistical analysis was done between the expression of them and lymph node metastasis status. Results The positive expression rate of nm23 in the breast invasive duct carcinoma tissues was significantly lower than that in the corresponding adjacent normal tissues (P<0.05);the positive expression rate of IMP3 in the breast invasive duct carcinoma tissues was higher than that in corresponding adjacent normal tissues (P<0.05).The expression level of nm23 in the breast invasive duct carcinoma tissues with lymphatic metastasis was lower than that of the ones without lymphatic metastasis (P<0.05);but the expression level of IMP3 in the breast invasive duct carcinoma tissues was higher than that of the ones without lymphatic metastasis (P<0.05).Nm23 and IMP3 protein expression were negatively correlated in the breast invasive duct carcinoma(r=-0.795,P<0.05).Conclusion Nm23 and IMP3 play an important role in the carcinogensis and metastasis of breast invasive duct carcinoma, may be used as an indicator of invasive and metastasis potential.
