Abstract: Objective To explore infra-low-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation (ILF-rTMS) combined with antidepressant on early curative effect in patients with depression. Methods A total of 88 patients with depression were randomly divided into study group with ILF-rTMS combined with paroxetine and control group with paroxetine for two weeks of treatment. They were assessed with Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) before and at the 1st,2nd weekend of treatment. Results At the 1st,2nd weekend of treatment, the total scores of HAMD in two groups were all significantly lower than those before treatment (P < 0.05) and the total scores of HAMD in study group were significantly lower than those in control group (P < 0.05).At the 2nd weekend of treatment, the anxiety/somatic,cognitive impairment factor scores of HAMD in study group were all significantly lower than those in control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion There is early curative effect for ILF-rTMS combined with paroxetine to treat the patients with depression.
