Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.58%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 10.11% or 0.190 points to trade at 2.070 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 7.59% or 0.060 points to end at 0.850 and PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) was unchanged 6.00% or 0.00 points to 0.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which fell 0.96% or 0.040 points to trade at 4.110 at the close. Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE) declined 0.93% or 0.050 points to end at 5.350 and ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) was down 0.62% or 0.050 points to 8.050.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 5 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.29% or 1.13 to $50.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.40% or 1.26 to hit $53.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.27 to trade at $1255.07 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.34% to 3.2675, while EUR/PEN fell 0.02% to 3.6568.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 97.00.
