Far Cry 5 Video Details Survival in Hope County, New Screenshots Released

Find out about the new antagonist, NPCs and new setting.

Things are a little crazy in Hope County, Montana and Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5 will see players go the distance to stop a doomsday cult. In a new developer diary, executive producer Dan Hay talks about going to Montana to speak to residents and how the overall sense of the place resonated with them. Check it out below.

Along with the so-called Father who leads the Eden’s Gate cult, players will deal with Joseph, John and Faith, known as the Heralds. You’ll be fighting against different family members, each with their own purpose and coming across NPCs who do more than provide missions.

AI characters like Mary May, Pastor Jerome and Nick Rye will join the resistance against Eden’s Gate along with offering opinions on what’s going on. You’ll need to earn their trust though and they apparently add to the experience as Guns for Hire.

Far Cry 5 is out on February 27th 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will also release on Project Scorpio and PS4 Pro.
