Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.49%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 0.05% or 0.1 points to trade at 219.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) fell 0.27% or 2.5 points to end at 907.5 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 0.36% or 0.14 points to 38.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which fell 2.93% or 4.10 points to trade at 135.80 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) declined 2.91% or 5.2 points to end at 173.2 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 2.61% or 0.96 points to 35.81.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 488 to 184 and 62 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.34% or 0.65 to $49.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.57% or 0.81 to hit $52.46 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.67% or 20.60 to trade at $1257.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.01% to 9.7457, while USD/SEK fell 0.46% to 8.7520.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 97.56.
