Market Now: Sun Pharma, ITC, YES Bank most active stocks in terms of value

Shares of Sun Pharma (Rs 820.01 crore), Tech Mahindra (Rs 298.55 crore), ITC (Rs 247.28 crore)and RIL (Rs 201.85 crore) were the most actively traded stocks in value terms as the domestic equity market turned rangebound on Monday morning.

The BSE Sensex had hit a record high on Friday, breaching the 31,000 mark.

Tata Steel (Rs 118.15 crore), YES Bank (Rs 114.87 crore), HPCL (Rs 103.07 crore), DLF (Rs 96.95 crore), Aurobindo Pharm (Rs 96.12 crore), SBI (Rs 90.88 crore), HDFC (Rs 88.88 crore), BPCL (Rs 88.65 crore), Hindalco Inds. (Rs 85.36 crore), Lupin (Rs 79.03 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 78.02 crore), Ibull HousingFin (Rs 72.95 crore), Vedanta Ltd (Rs 66.12 crore), Cipla (Rs 65.77 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 63.79 crore) and Tata Motors (Rs 57.96 crore) were among other most active stocks in terms of value on NSE on Monday .

The NSE Nifty was trading 21.20 points down at 9573.90 Monday.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tech Mahindra (down 12.76 per cent), Sun Pharma (down 12.18 per cent), Aurobindo Pharm (down 5.46 per cent), Adani Ports SEZ (down 4.24 per cent), YES Bank (down 3.16 per cent), ONGC (down 1.82 per cent), Tata Motors (down 1.61 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (down 1.50 per cent)stood among top losers.

On the other hand, ITC (up 2.02 per cent), HDFC (up 1.75 per cent), Hind. Unilever (up 1.56 per cent), Ibull HousingFin (up 1.23 per cent), PowerGrid (up 1.01 per cent), RIL (up 0.98 per cent), HCL Tech (up 0.94 per cent), BPCL (up 0.83 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 0.81 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 0.56 per cent) topped on the Nifty 50 chart.

Savita Oil Tech, Premier Exp, Arihant Superst, Maan Aluminium, Kamdhenu Ispat, Swelect Energy, Lakshmi Finance, Navneet Edu, Kesar Enterpr, Sunteck Realty, Shree Pushkar Chemicals & Fertilisers Ltd., Finolex Inds., Time Techno., ITC, Birla Corp., Hind. Unilever, BPCL, HDFC Bank, Minda Ind, Hindalco Inds. are the stocks which touched their fresh 52-week high.

On the other hand Reliance Comm, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma, Zicom Elec, MBL Infra, Satin Creditcare Network Ltd., Bafna Pharma, Torrent Pharma, Aurobindo Pharm, Mandhana Inds., Videocon Ind, Shilpi Cable Tec, Ortel Communications Ltd., Urja Global, Khaitan Elect, Lanco Infratech, Abbott India, Adhunik Metalik, Sathavahana Isp, Glenmark Pharma stocks hit their new 52-week low levels during the day.
