Abstract: Thirty patients with pyogenic granuloma were observed under dermoscopy.The results showed reddish homogeneous area in 22 patients (73.3%),white collarette in 17 (56.7%),white rail lines in 14 (46.7%) and vascular structures in 13 (43.3%).A reddish homogeneous area surrounded by a white collarette was the most frequent finding.It is difficult to distinguish malignant tumours from pyogenic granulomas,if white collarette sign is absent.Under this circumstances histopathological examination is needed.
