Michael Stover is a husband to one, father of five, proud grandfather, and a cancer survivor. Since 2005, he has written, edited, and contributed to numerous bible study materials, college subject matter, blogs, websites, fiction, poetry, and nonfiction works. He holds degrees from Union University and Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, both in his home state of Tennessee.

 

Michael has wide experience in vocational Christian ministry, including serving as youth pastor, assistant pastor, minister of missions, education, & evangelism, and senior pastor at churches in Mississippi and Tennessee; conducting ministry training on the state and national level in VBS and Sunday School; and writing numerous pieces of study material for VBS and Adult Sunday School published by LifeWay Christian Resources.

Michael has published How to Write Well, a self-help book to assist aspiring writers in improving their craft, and a new edition entitled How to Write Well - Writing for Modern Readers.

 

 Michael's popular study and teaching guide Jesus and Dirt: A Fresh Look at the Parable of the Sower is a bible resource for small groups and pastors.

Michael has also co-authored re.CLAIM.ing - A Handbook for Developing a Restorative Culture in Your Church with local pastor Pete Tackett, published by Renovate Publishing. Listen to this episode of the Reclaiming Podcast for insight into the reasons for writing this book.
