Disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner, whose long-suffering wife Huma Abedin recently dumped him, was caught sexting once again, this time with a 15-year-old girl. This time, his transgressions could land him in jail up to 20 years. The young girl claimed that he fantasized with her about role play and rape over a series of text messages over months. Weiner will plead guilty on May 19, 2017 of transferring obscene material to a minor to resolve the latest "sexting" scandal.

Huma Abedin and convicted perv Anthony Weiner agreed Wednesday to finalize their divorce out of court, seeking to protect their 6-year-old son from an embarrassing public separation.

The agreement between the top aide to Hillary Clinton and the disgraced serial sexter serving a 21-month sentence came the same day their case was scheduled to be heard by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Michael Katz.

“In order to ensure the proceedings have a minimal impact on their child, the parties have decided to finalize their divorce swiftly and privately,” Abedin attorney Charles Miller said in a statement.

The judge confirmed from the bench that the case had been discontinued.

Abedin filed for divorce in May and listed the case as “contested,” indicating there was a dispute between her and her husband.

Abedin filed for divorce in May and listed the case as “contested,” indicating there was a dispute between her and her husband.

Matrimonial cases are sealed. The couple could re-file their divorce as “uncontested,” meaning they would not have to appear in court.

Susan Karten, a divorce attorney not involved in the case, said an uncontested divorce would allow Weiner and Abedin to keep details private.

“The issue of child custody, I assume, may still be on the table. But they may be working the details out privately, so that when they file this it will be sanitized,” she said.

One possible reason for delaying the divorce could perhaps be found in President Trump’s Jan. 2 tweet calling for Abedin to be jailed following the State Department’s release of classified emails found on Weiner’s laptop.

Karten noted that “spousal privileges” could protect Weiner from being forced to testify against Abedin, should she be criminally charged.

“In order to ensure the proceedings have a minimal impact on their child, the parties have decided to finalize their divorce swiftly and privately,” Abedin attorney Charles Miller said in a statement.

“They actually need to be united in interest rather than divided in interest when it comes to the FBI,” Karten said.

A call to Weiner’s attorney was not returned.
