Abstract: Cerebral infarction causes brain tissue and blood-brain barrier damages, leading to hemorrhagic transformation (HT). The degree of cerebral ischemia and hypoxia, the changes of micro vascular permeability and the establishment of collateral circulation in ischemic region can be observed dynamically by image examination to predict the occurrence of HT. At present, CT perfusion imaging (CTP), magnetic resonance perfusion imaging and a variety of magnetic resonance scan sequences are available for this prediction. We reviewed the studies of the new development in CTP and MRI in predicting HT after cerebral infarction in order to provide a reference for personalized treatment.
