Guy Hides Camera In Bucket To See Who Comes To Drink, And The Result Has Gone Viral

For understandable reasons, this video has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.

Where there is water, there will be critters quenching their thirst. And, as was recently proven by John Wells, the range of insects and animals is usually diverse.

Wells, who works at The Field Lab, a Southwest Texas alternative energy and sustainable living field laboratory, was interested in seeing what kinds of creatures would take advantage of water in the desert, so he set up a bucket with a hidden camera at the bottom. As you may view below, the results did not disappoint.

Wells wrote on YouTube:

“I was pleasantly surprised during the edit to see that George [the rabbit] made an appearance. I know him from all the other rabbits because of the tiny notch in his ear.” He also added, “Note: The swimming bees were rescued.”

The inquisitive adventurer once lived in New York but moved to “the middle of nowhere” to purchase an off-grid lifestyle. Wells is already known in certain ecology-conscious circles, as Bored Panda relays, as he managed to build a modern home which utilizes solar energy and composting for just $1,6000.

With all the creatures that came to visit Wells just for his water, it doesn’t seem likely that he feels alone. Watch the incredible video below:
