Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 3.37% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.920 at the close. Meanwhile, Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) added 2.43% or 0.280 points to end at 11.800 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 2.35% or 0.020 points to 0.870 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which fell 3.23% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) declined 2.44% or 0.050 points to end at 2.000 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was down 2.30% or 0.060 points to 2.550.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 10 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.28% or 0.14 to $50.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.09% or 0.05 to hit $52.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1283.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2445, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.4854.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 99.71.
