Pascal Nègre launches management company with Live Nation in Paris

One of 2016’s biggest music business shocks was the exit of Pascal Nègre as boss of Universal Music France – a company at which he’d worked for 26 years.

Ever since, people have been wondering what the revered exec’s next move would be… and now we know.

Nègre has launched a new artist management company in Paris as a joint venture with Live Nation.

As revealed in a press release today, the company is named #NP and will work across a variety of artist services.

Nègre will head up the company as CEO, overseeing specialists in marketing, design, digital and branding.

Nègre said: “#NP’s mission is to ensure the artist is at the very core of the game in this new digital age.

“Our specialist team will be with the artist every step of the way with the advice and services they need to allow them to do what they do best.

Pascal Nègre’s rise through Universal Music Group’s ranks began in 1990 when he joined the Polygram group.

He was appointed as President of PolyGram in 1994.

In addition to his long tenure at UMG France, Nègre became vice president of Universal Music International for the Middle East and North Africa in 2000.

In 2005, he was President of the Mediterranean region for UMG (Italy, Spain, Portugal) and South America.Music Business Worldwide
