Abstract: Objective To examine the expression of p53 related miR-214 and miR-503 in normal ovarian tissues, chemo-sensitive and chemo-resistant epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) tissue and serum exosomes, and to investigate the correlation between p53 related miRNA and EOC resistance. Method p53 expression level in normal ovarian tissue, chemo-sensitive EOC and chemo-resistant EOC was examined by ICH; RT-PCR was used to detect the expression of miR-214 and miR-503 in the three types of tissues and serum exosomes. Results There was no significant difference of p53 expression in chemo-resistant and chemo-sensitive EOC (P>0.05), though it was relatively lower in EOC compared with normal tissues, while the miR-214 was 3 times more, and miR-503 was 3 times less in serum exosomes of chemo-re-sistant EOC than that of the chemo-sensitive EOC. Conclusion p53 related miR-214 and miR-503 might be introduced into blood circulation by exosomes, and they may play an important role in chemo-resistance of EOC.
