Abstract: Objective To establish a method of ion chromatography with integral pulse amperometric detection for the determination of related substance in betacyclodextrin. Methods Dionex ICS-500 and CarPac PA200 column were used. The mixtures of pure water, 250 mmol/L NaOH solution and 500 mmol/L NaAC solution in different ratio were used as mobile phase in the gradient elution. In the amperometric detection, gold electrode was used as working electrode,Ag/AgCl electrode was used as reference electrode. Results The peaks of different impurities were separated completely. The calibration curve of each solvent of each impurity showed a good liner relationship with good precision and recovery rate. Conclusion The method showed good sensitivity, precision and reproducibility, which can be used to determine the related substance in betacyclodextrin.
