We polled the Women for Tri Facebook group to find out what triathlete-moms are hoping to receive this weekend for Mother’s Day. If you’re struggling to figure out a gift for the triathlete-mom in your life, start here.
Garmin Forerunner 935: This topped the wish list of many women in the Women for Tri group. Just launched a couple months ago, the newest Forerunner is a beaut. Its upgrades from the previous 735 include a barometric altimeter and WiFi capabilities, in addition to tracking everything from the swim (distance, stroke, pace), to the bike (power zones, time seated and standing, platform center offset and power phase) and the run (using the “running dynamics pod” that clips to your waistband, you can see your cadence, ground contact time, stride length and more).

Sports massage: Moms love massages, and triathlete-moms love sports massages. “I had not idea how sore I would be from training for an Ironman!” said one Women for Tri group mom. This is a gift she’ll really appreciate.
New tri kit: Help Mom update her tri wardrobe with a new race kit. There are so many fun women’s kits out there now. New wetsuit: Wetsuits need to be replaced regularly (especially if they’ve started to accumulate holes from pulling them on!). A housekeeper: This was a common gift idea from the group. Give Mom time to squeeze in her swim/bike/run workouts without feeling guilt or stress over the condition of the house.

Race entry: Just signing up for races can be expensive. Let Mom pick a race and pay for the registration. (Then make sure you’re there to cheer her on!) Better yet, race with her—one mom said her husband and daughter race a duathlon with her every year on Mother’s Day as her gift.
M-Dot jewelry: One mom, who just completed her first Ironman, wouldn’t mind something M-Dot (and less permanent than a tattoo). These sterling silver M-Dot stud earrings would make a meaningful gift while still keeping the Ironman branding subtle.
