Here's a very loud, very NSFW trailer for the new Ryan Reynolds/Samuel L. Jackson buddy (frenemy?) comedy, The Hitman's Bodyguard. Check it out below once you've plugged in your headphones:
Looks like this movie is delivering what the title promises: Reynolds plays a bodyguard tasked with protecting Jackson's veteran assassin, with a lot of loud swearing along the way.
I like the tone of the trailer here, including the winking use of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You." Truthfully, it's nice to see Reynolds try his hand at being a little more of a straight man. He's got comedy chops, but the self-satisfied smugness of Deadpool didn't showcase him at his best. Let's see if he can fix things before Deadpool 2 ruins everything all over again.
Also, Samuel L. Jackson's running around saying "motherfucker" a lot, so there's that.
The Hitman's Bodyguard hits theaters on August 18, 2017.
