All trying to bring democracy and western values to Syria no doubt

Just like the Russians trying to bring a replacement version of autocracy and Russian values to Syria. No doubt.

There are no good guys fighting in Syria nor are there any good guys supporting any fighting in Syria. The only people gaining are those selling weaponry.

So, a broad based, multireligious, multiethnic coalition government, with greater democratic legitimacy than ANY American allied regime in the region is slowly and carefully winning back control over its country from extremists who target civilians and advance behind waves of suicide vehicle bombs, but from the article, you'd get the impression that the government was of the type, and using the tactics of Saudi Arabia. How is this done? Well, take the volunteer militias, representing every ethnicity and religious affiliation in the country. They're tagged as 'pro-government fighters', the government gets tagged as 'the regime', and the places where they've managed to free hostages from those who use snipers and minefields to keep people from fleeing them are 'recaptured'. East Aleppo was liberated not by carpet bombing and slaughter, but by the 'rebels', after years of them attempting to terrorize the rest of Aleppo into surrendering to them, finally taking up the longstanding offer of amnesty (and safe transport, if wanted) in exchange for the hostages being released, but instead of showing the celebrations thrown by the population to mark that, or detailing the work of the demining teams as they removed all the booby traps left for returning civilians, or something about the joint effort of the population and the Allied military personnel to clear all the garbage the 'rebels' had stuffed into the largest bakery having allowed it to reopen, all you were shown was the destruction years of suppressing fire had caused.

So far, it seems that the Meddling of the US and it's other prior relations, (i.e. the "lap-dog" U.K. ), has led to the instability of the Middle-eastern region.

Ironicially, we lack a modern day Western version of "Lawrence of Arabia," who truely understands the Middle Eastern mindset and can communicate that properly to the West in such a way that that both sides can come to an agreement.

Why ?

and reminder that rebels can disrupt life in the city

AP inadvertently told the truth. Disrupt life - that's something terrorists like to do. Even MSM understands that Syrian terrorebels are called so for a reason.
