EA's ‘Mass Effect: Andromeda' remains at No1 for a second week, equalling the 2 week consecutive run of ‘Mass Effect 2' (‘Mass Effect 3' only had 1 week at No1, replaced the following week by EA's own ‘FIFA Street'.

Original ‘Mass Effect' debuted at No12). Ubisoft's ‘Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Wildlands' remains at No2 for a second week and Warner's ‘LEGO Worlds' is a non-mover at No3. Debuting at No4 as the only new release within the All Formats Top 40 is Square Enix's PS4 6 game compilation ‘Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix'. This is actually the second Kingdom Hearts PS4 release this year, after ‘Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter' which debuted at No 3 in week 4, 2017. In total, there have been 11 Kingdom Heart games released as boxed products in the UK and all have been single format releases, starting with the original ‘Kingdom Hearts' for PS2 back in November 2002, which is also the top-seller in terms of units. There's not a lot of movement in the next few chart positions, the highest climber is Ubisoft's ‘Watch Dogs 2', up 11 places to No17 and there are a few re-entries, such as Activision's ‘Destiny: The Collection' at No24 and Ubisoft's ‘Tom Clancy Rainbow 6: Siege' at No25.

Mass Effect taking top spot while down 78% should put into context how low sales must be for the rest of the charted titles.

I bet it's not gonna be number 1 there. US atleast got better taste in games than UK
Want to bet friend?
Theres no other game that could top it
Horizon won't include digital since its don't first party
Even with a 1:1 attach rate I don't see Zelda taking first place

Already discount on Amazon UK

Doesn't really mean anything. It's discounted in the US already as well.

It's still the number 1 selling game of 2017 though.

Zelda is surprisingly low in the UK. I wonder if that's due to lack of restock or if the buzz is starting to slow down there

HStallion

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
Horizon is holding on very well it seems. The word of mouth on the game seems incredibly good and coming from all directions. I have a lot of casual gamer friends talking about it and asking me about it.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!

...I was actually thinking Zelda is still high enough at least, by looking at the Individual Chart, where the game is 6th (last week was 8th), plus 1-2-Switch still around the same placement as last week. Still, don't know how's the console situation availability over there, aside from Amazon.co.uk, where it's still (or again) out of stock.

You have to think about units though. At most ME is at 20k meaning everything else sales have to be really low. Zelda placing 6th means it may be under 10k. That's not really all that great when it's the only major software of note for the Switch atm

All of my casual gamer friends picked it up after me and two others began gushing over it, it has quite effortlessly solidified itself as a massive new IP.

The Switch, Zelda and pretty much every other Switch game are just hard to track down in my corner of the UK. I know Smyths Toys are saying they are getting more Neo Switches on the 10th. Also Zelda is so rare CEX are still charging £60 used. I got mine new at £45 a week after launch.

Yeah it very well may be demand is still high there just isn't a whole lot of consoles available. I'm not from the UK so can't speak to that at all

The fact it could be under 10k is correct (I mean, 100% it is), but at the same time the fact that Zelda obtained to stay decently high in charts could translate into numbers that are lower than last week, but possibly not too much, which would translate into console sales that can possibly be not too dissimilar from last week's.

Now, two questions to get a better context though

1) How's the Switch stock situation in UK (both online and retail): aside from Amazon.co.uk, is it still difficult to find it?
2) What are weekly hardware levels that can be considered healthy in UK? This is honestly a pretty difficult question to answer to, given the secrecy that obliterates any possible chance of getting numbers; I should go back and check what LTD numbers we had for PS4 and Xbox One back then in 2014 (IIRC I made some weekly numbers estimates based on them).

Hopefully Automata held up better in the US.

Otherwise, damn that hurts my soul. Been a long time since I've been wanting to see a game really get the success it deserves.

All the big releases it was caught in the middle of were probably abit too much though for that to happen.

It sold over 200k on pc so it probably sold close to that on PS4 world wide I think it'll debut around 100k in the us

Kazuo Hirai

I really want everyone to know how much more Titanfall 2 sold than Nioh. It was a staggering amount.

The BIU, the German Games Industry Association, is the organisation that officially represents the German computer and video games industry.

Its 26 members are developers, publishers and providers of digital games, and they comprise over 85 per cent of the German market and approximately 55 per cent of the employees in the German games industry.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands was the best-selling boxed game in the UK last month.

The title narrowly beat PlayStation's Horizon: Zero Dawn - although, of course, that was a single-format release. Horizon on PS4 was the best-selling individual SKU of the month.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild had to settle for third spot, although its primary platform had stock shortages throughout the month.

Mass Effect Andromeda sits just behind Zelda, although was only on sale for half the month, while LEGO Worlds at No.5 rounds up an entirely new Top Five.
