Much sooner than I was expecting. I'm interested to see how sales breakdown. I think despite being Multiplatform the PS4 version had the potential to end up being the best selling game on that platform (in Japan of course).

Pretty big blow to the switch. This would have been an incredible coup to big up a game of this calibre so early in its life span.

I just bought DQ VIII on the eShop.

Please buy either DQ VII or DQ VIII for 3DS to make it more clear that they should bring the game over.

Seeing as it was not giving a release date, it would be the safe thing to assume, right? even if it is one or two months later (which won't be the case because they would've said if it was that short wait) it is still a late port.

That lines up. They wanted it to be out in May, so this is probably the absolute fastest they can get it out within reason.

As far as NA goes...hm. Sometime between January and March of 2018 is my shot in the dark prediction/guess.

It is not the same effort and resources than the ones being spent on PS4, so it should not be that high.
