Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.
We also normally have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year. This being the first week of a new WrestleMania-to-WrestleMania “season”, things are a little different, but we still need your vote.
Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - the April 3 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, WWE SmackDown & 205 Live from Tuesday, Wednesday’s NXT and ROH TV, Impact Wrestling on Thursday, and whatever other streaming/televised wrestling you may have caught from April 2 - 8 (not counting WrestleMania 33).
Make YOUR mark, smarks!
We'd usually have last week's results here, but as those votes ended our fifth season, you can find out how everything wrapped up in our year-end extravaganza here.
That post also asked for predictions on the 2017-18, WrestleMania 33 - WrestleMania 34 season. And... nice try, Miz:

As a refresher for veterans and a crash course for newcomers, here's the how and why of our little fan vote...
Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About The S3:
Perfomers who play a significant role on a nationally televised wrestling show available in at least 50 million United States homes, or on a televised pay-per-view (PPV)/WWE Network special, will get entries in our click-vote poll.
If you want to vote for someone who didn't appear on Raw, Impact or Smackdown, and/or if would like to either recognize more performers or have a greater impact on the Standings, you should log in and vote in the comments.
Voting both via the poll and a comment is not only allowed, but encouraged. If you want to really influence the S3, and have a lot more flexibility with your ballot, you’ve really got to comment.
In a comment vote, you have four "slots". If you place one performer in each, first place is assigned 4 points for the week, second 3, third 2 and fourth 1. Weekly points are assigned to everyone's comment for ranking.
You can list more than one wrestler per slot, either as a tag team or a tie between unrelated workers. If you use all four slots and have people tied in any of them, those performers will split the points assigned to that slot. For instance:
1. Bushi
2. Heavy Machinery
3. Shayna Baszler
4. Punishment Martinez
results in the member of Los Ingobernables de Japon getting 4 weekly points, Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight getting 1.5 each (splitting the 3 points assigned to a second place vote) while the former mixed martial artist gets 2 points for third and the Ring of Honor big man receives 1 for fourth.
On the other hand, you can assign more points for a tie by having the tie replace one of your other slots, like so:
1. Bushi
2. Heavy Machinery
4. Shayna Baszler
In this instance, Dozovic & Knight would each receive 2.5 weekly Standings points, as they will split the three points for second and the two points for third.
The poll is counted separately. The performer who receives the most votes gets 10 points, second most 9, and so on down to the person who receives the tenth highest vote count earning 1 weekly point. Doesn’t matter if the winner gets 6,000 votes in the poll, he or she only gets 10 points from it. This is because the poll is prone to trolling and not that hard to game... but mostly because we want you to join the conversation in the comments!
The annual list is calculated in a similar fashion. Finishing first in the weekly Standings is worth 10 annual points, through tenth being worth 1. Ties split the points assigned to the rankings between the number of people tied. So if one week, Eli Drake, Ruby Riot and Jimmy Havoc tie for seventh, 9 points (4 for seventh, 3 for eighth and 2 for ninth) will be split three ways.
Hope that makes sense. If not, ask away in the comments.
Refresh your memory with cSs coverage of each show in their respective section: from Raw, Impact, NXT, Smackdown, and the wide world of everything else.
Then vote, and we'll see you next week for the for first results of Season Six!
