Ever Oasis
Ever Oasis is coming to Nintendo 3DS on June 23, 2017, Nintendo announced today.Ever Oasis was announced back at E3 and is an action RPG, and the newest game from Koichi Ishii, creator of the Mana series (known as Seiken Densetsu in Japan). It's developed by Grezzo, who previously worked on the new versions of Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask for 3DS.
Monster Hunter Stories
Today we learned that Capcom will bring Monster Hunter Stories to 3DS in the West this Fall.Monster Hunter Stories is a turn-based RPG spinoff of Monster Hunter that launched in Japan last year. At last year’s TGS, we said it “reinvents the series into something new.”
In Japan, the series launched alongside a handful of new amiibo, but those figures have not yet been confirmed for the West.
Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters
A new version of Yo-Kai Watch 2, Psychic Specters, is due to be released on 3DS this fall.In today’s Direct, Nintendo called it the “definitive version” of Yo-Kai Watch 2, and announced that it will boast an expanded multiplayer mode.
Psychic Specters follows previous dual versions of Yo-Kai Watch 2, Fleshy Souls and Bony Spirits, which were released on 3DS last year.
Culdcept Revolt
Nintendo confirmed that Culdcept Revolt will be released on 3DS on August 29 in the West, available as both a standard edition or in a collector’s edition.Culdcept Revolt is a card-based strategy game that launched on 3DS in Japan last year. NIS confirmed that it was headed West earlier this year.
RPG Maker FES
Game creator RPG Maker FES will be released on Nintendo 3DS on June 27, available in both standard and special editions.As the name implies, RPG Maker FES will let players create their own games using in-game tools. Levels can then be uploaded for other players to try.
Among others, Disgaea-themed character skins will be available.
Bye-Bye BoxBoy!
Bye-Bye BoxBoy! was originally announced with a late March release date for the West, but after a slight delay, it’s available on the eShop starting today!This is the final game in the puzzle platformer trilogy and comes from Kirby developer HAL Laboratory. ByeBye Box-Boy! features amiibo compatibility with Kirby, Waddle Dee, Meta Knight and King DeDeDe from the Kirby line, and will offer a Game Boy-style monochromatic filter for players with save data from previous games.
A demo of all three BoxBoy games is also available on the eShop for free beginning today.
The third BoxBoy game launched in Japan earlier this year alongside an adorable BoxBoy amiibo, but there’s no word yet on whether or not that figure will be for sale in the West.
Miitopia
Nintendo has been teasing its mysterious Mii-based RPG since 2016, and has now finally confirmed that it will be headed to 3DS in the West later this year.Miitopia is a turn-based RPG that uses Miis as party members. Players will be able to build their team and customize their characters to use in battle. However, party members will have personalities of their own and may disobey commands.
Nintendo first teased Miitopia in a Japanese Nintendo Direct in September, where it was presumed to be an expanded version of Find Mii, a StreetPass-based game built into 3DS systems. Since then, Nintendo teased the game within its mobile titles leading up to Miitopia’s launch in Japan late last year.
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia was announced for a May 19 release date during Nintendo’s Fire Emblem Direct back in January, and today Nintendo confirmed that a Season Pass will offer players the chance to get new maps, new dungeons, expanded character backstories, and more.DLC included in the Season Pass will also be available for purchase separately, and some will be available from the eShop for free.
Shadows of Valentia is inspired by 1992's Fire Emblem Gaiden and stars dual protagonists Alm and Celica, who will also be available as amiibo figures at launch.
