Twitter Is Dragging Katy Perry Over A Barack Obama Joke
Celebrities are like children. Sometimes they just don’t know what the fuck to say. Case in point, tittylicious wailer of shitty pop hits, Katy Perry. She has recently come under fire for something she said on social media in regards to her new hair style.
Referring to no one in particular, Katy took to Instagram to discuss her new ‘do by looking into the camera and saying “Aww, someone says, ‘I miss your old, black hair. Oh, do you miss Barack Obama as well? Okay, times change. Bye.”
Yes, Katy just likened the disappearance of her former black hair to the disappearance of our former black president. The sound you’ve been hearing since this happened is the cracking of a million knuckles, as Twitter fingers ensue all over the country.
People has comprised a plethora of tweets from the masses reacting to Katy’s bombed joke. And the way they go on, you’d think that she had just read a copy of Mein Kampf at a pre-school graduation. Here’s what she said, plus one of the responses, below.

However, this isn’t the first time she’s had to deal with backlash from something controversial. Also in 2013, Katy came under fire for her American Music Awards performance, which was 50% feudal drag performance and 50% Memoirs of a Geisha tribute. Unfortunately, like Tom Cruise in The Last Samurai, it was a 100% shit show. Then, in 2015, The Weeknd’s producer, Mano, called Katy out by accusing her of referring to him as “my n!##a.”
@katyperry is comfortable with calling me her #nigga. oddly i wasn’t.

Honestly, I can see why people are upset. But at the same time, I don’t think she meant any malice behind it. Katy has always been vocal about her political stance and is a constant supporter of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. However Katy, I’ma need you to remember a few things moving forward:
1. You’re white.
The end.
You may want to choose your words wisely in this era of wokeness, because everyone’s pissed off about something and Donald Trump is still the president. You may have been making an off color (ha!) remark, but the timing and execution were all wrong.
