Mars Dota 2 League to be held a few weeks before The International

After scheduling difficulties earlier on, the Mars Dota 2 League organizers have finally booked their fifth season to be held on July 5-9th.

In what appears to be an action-packed summer for Dota fans, the Mars Dota 2 League is yet another LAN, that is scheduled for some tough practice for teams, going into the International, and of course lively entertainment for the hyped fans. An event that last year saw Evil Geniuses taking over the trophy as well as a hefty sum of money, the Mars Dota 2 League was scheduled to be held from the 10th of May to the 14th of May, but due to the dates conflicting with the Kiev Major, it was postponed to an undetermined date, which was announced today by MDL on their Twitter:

The organizers have announced that the participating teams would be revealed soon, many of whom have already accepted their invite. That said, the Summer of 2017 is shaping up to be quite an exciting one with a considerable number of tournaments taking place. After the Kiev Major ending in April, teams will put their skillsets to a test in the StarLadder Invitational from May 18th to the 21st, as well as in the Manila Masters starting from the 26th of May and ending on 28th of the same month. The dust will not have settled by the time June arrives, with the Epicenter, the Summit 7 and the seventh edition of DreamLeague to be held in close proximity to each other. After what appears to be a final battle at the Mars Dota 2 League, the teams will then face off each other for ultimate domination in the seventh edition of the grand International from August 7-12.
