Crowds are seen gathering at the scene of the horrific killing in Mosul while a pile of heavy rocks is set up nearby.

The man is photographed at the top of the building surrounded by masked ISIS jihadis, before the next frame shows him lying in the street.

A group of men clutching rocks appear to be hurling them at him as he lies prone on the ground.

It was not clear when exactly the photographs were taken and The Sun Online could not verify their authenticity.

They were posted online by the group Terror Monitor and reported by Iraqi News.

The Iraqi city of Mosul has been at the centre of fierce fighting between ISIS and Iraqi forces in recent weeks.

The government is attempting to wrest back control of the city from the jihadis but they are putting up fierce resistance including suicide bombings.

Two days ago we reported on how the group's car bombs and snipers were killing children caught in the firing line.

And recently a video appeared to show a child forced into wearing a suicide vest by the sick group's fanatical members.
