A chieftain of the All Progressives congress, APC, in Rivers state, Lawrence Chuku has dared Governor Nyesom Wike to make public, details of the 2016 and 2017 budgets.

Chuku in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt claimed that the Governor was running a fraudulent administration.

He said there were facts to show that the Governor had been spending state funds alone without the Ministries and Agencies.

He added that there were no records to show the financial status of the state.

Chuku said “Commissioners of the various Ministries, Chairmen of Boards and Managing Directors of State Agencies are mere arrow heads for Wike to comfortably embezzle our funds.

“As it stands, we can say the government in Rivers state has been running without a budget since 2015. Because how can you explain that a House of Assembly will pass a budget and up till today we cannot see it. After they will tell us it is in the public domain. Which public domain?

“This government don’t know anything apart from pulling down Amaechi. What they do is to monitor Amaechi and think of how to denigrate him by all means but unfortunately for them they keep loosing and they won’t still learn.

“They should publish details of the 2016 and 2017 budgets for scrutiny rather than the continuous criticism of Rotimi Amaechi. Let them face good governance and stop patching roads.”
