The Jets’ ongoing search for a veteran quarterback continues when free agent Chase Daniel comes to the facility on Monday.

The Jets will host the former Saints, Chiefs and Eagles signal caller, according to a source. Daniel, 30, visited with New Orleans over the weekend. He was released after the Eagles brought back Nick Foles.

Daniel, who would be a solid veteran mentor for the Jets, has only two career starts in eight seasons, two fewer than Bryce Petty. Daniel is 1-1 with 78 career pass attempts.

The Jets hosted free agent Josh McCown over the weekend, but didn’t strike a deal. Mike Maccagnan & Co. appear to be in no rush to add a veteran. Jay Cutler reportedly is also expected to make a visit.
