Nioh now lets players pause the game

Team Ninja’s Nioh has drawn more than its share of comparisons to FromSoftware’s Souls series, but the samurai action-RPG is further distinguishing itself from games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne thanks to a new feature: Players can now pause the game.

A new update for Nioh (version 1.06) rolled out today that adds the option to pause the action with a press of the DualShock 4’s options button. Patch notes for the update specify that players won’t be have the option to pause during multiplayer mode or when they’ve summoned another player into their game. But the addition of a pause feature will certainly make the game a little easier on players who might just need the occasional break.

Nioh’s latest update also adds a number of other quality of life improvements, including the ability to reset the camera by pressing the lock on button and the option to customize the color of item rarity.
