But Arum confirmed this week that the welterweight title clash was not happening and explained Pacquiao was lured into negotiations after an ‘outlandish’ offer from the UAE.
‘When they contacted me, I told them it was pie in the sky that this is crazy, it is not going to happen,’ Arum told the LA Times.

Arum is believed to want Pacquiao to face Australian Jeff Horn next in his first WBO title defence since reclaiming the belt in his comeback fight.
Khan on the other hand has not fought since May and turned down the chance to face Kell Brook on his return from injury.
