What kind of box mods can you use with standard atties?

I'm moving away from sub-ohm in that I no longer need the hit it gives me, and have transitioned slowly from 9% to 3% nicotine. I have two EVOD VV batteries and a EMOW Mega tank, from way back. Want to replace the tank to a top-loading tank, similar to the i-sub Apex I've been using for the last year, but one suitable for 1.5-2.0 ohm vaping. Is there a suitable box mod I can use that will allow me to vape at around 4.5w, as if I try the one I've been used to (kanger subox) it only goes down to 7w. I like replacing batteries rather than using sealed battery chambers (like the EVOD VV), as I have a charger that I use, and it allows me to use quality control when purchasing batteries, rather than not knowing what batteries lurk inside a sealed unit? Any helpful advice? Sorry, as I've said before, I'm a complete noob (despite vaping for nearly 4 years now) in that I just love vaping, but haven't felt the urge to start up a workshop dedicated to them :)

As far as tanks the Nauti, Triton mini, Nauti X, and upcoming Nauti v2 will all work well from 1.5-2 ohm. Coils come in 1.5(Nauti X only), 1.6, and 1.8 ohm versions. However, even at that resistance I'm not sure if 4.5W will work out. Usually they're used in the 6-10W range. As to mod, well, the Pico is good from 1-75W, takes a single 18650 battery is small and easy for your pocket as well as your wallet. You'll get a solid day if not more out of 1 18650 in that at low power (depending on the amount your vape).

Take a look at the iStick Pico. It tops out at 75 watts and will go down to 1 watt with the right coil. I have a 1.65 ohm Kanthal coil in my Pico now. I just tested your 4.5W vape. At 4.5W it produces a weak vapor stream that is more like a Carlton with little throat hit. It also takes several seconds for the coil to sizzle.

I like mine at 10W with a 1 to 2 ohm coil on a Kayfun Lite Plus V2. It's more like a medium cigarette in flavor and vapor and the 1.6 ohm coil sizzles in a second and vapes immediately with a cig-like stream of vapor. The good part is that you can dial in the vape you want and a single 18650 will last 6 to 8 hours vaping. It also charges from USB if you get stuck with a low battery.

Both the eVic VTC Mini and Pico by istick (Pico is my favorite) will fire from 1-75 watts. Not sure but think they will fire a coil as high as 3 ohms as as low as .2-.3.

There is only one problem with the Pico.
You will NOT be able to use large diameter atomizers 24 mm and larger. 23 mm and below the Pico is perfect.

The evic vtc mini is good for up to 3.5 ohm, and as stated goes down to 1 watt.
According to their site.
Yes eVic VTC Mini is great. I just like tge Pico more for two reasons.

1. Pocket Friendly.

2. The battery goes in upside down. Should the battery vent the gasses will be vented away from your face instead of in your face. For this reason i consider it safer than eVic VTC Mini.

Tge only downside of the Pico id you can't use 24mm and larger diameter attys on the Pico.

Two bears is right. There's only about 1 mm clearance on the Pico between a 22m tank and the battery cap. That's fine for me since I only use 22mm standard atties.

I like a pocket carry mod. I was a big iStick fan for that reason. I always thought there should be an iStick with a replaceable 18650 and the Pico is that mod.

When I'm out for more than 2 or 3 hours I carry the Pico and a small Efest hardshell carry case with a 15ml needle tip bottle of juice and a spare battery. I just throw that into the console, knowing that if I get waylaid I'm good for a long time. I don't put the mini screwdriver in there because it has a keychain and a loop that could get across the battery. The screw driver goes into my pants pocket or loose in the console.
