People who identify as lucky really are different than others

This nice little explainer covers the nebulous concept of luck in a fun way. It summarizes the work of Richard Wiseman, who researched self-identified lucky and unlucky people. He found four key distinctions.

People who consider themselves lucky tend to do the following four things:

• Maximize chance opportunities
• Listen to lucky hunches
• Turn bad luck into good
• Expect good things to happen

Of course, "lucky" is highly subjective. Two people could consider themselves lucky for completely opposing reasons. And it's hard to determine if people who consider themselves lucky actually are. So relax and pay attention as you go about your day, and a little luck might come your way!
