Bonsu sustained an uncle injury in their last match in Enugu against Lobi Stars of Makurdi which they won by 2-1 as he was rushing to play a goal kick and unfortunately miss stepped.

Ezeaku told the News Agency of Nigeria on telephone that there was no cause for alarm over the Ghanaian import’s injury.

“Bonsu is doing well with the injury and it is not going to take him too long to start playing again.

“We want to take precaution on the injury so that it will not take him long to recover because we still have a long way to go in the NPFL, FA Cup and the CAF Champions League.

“As for the goalkeeping area, we do not have problems because Itodo Akor who finished the match against Lobi Stars is as good as his colleague from Ghana,’’ he said.

He said that the goalkeeper was gradually improving and that he had been placed on treatment plans for now.

The physician urged Akor and the players to be focused to ensure successful outing during Bonsu’s absence and to keep pace with other clubs ahead of them.

Bonsu had conceded seven goals in nine appearances for Rangers at the current season.

He has also kept two clean sheets and one was in the NPFL and the other CAF Championships League. The matches ended in a goalless draw.
