Picked up the BBB about a week ago and it has made my Freemax Starr Pure very lonely. And I really REALLY like the Starr. But I have an issue.

For about a year now I have solely used top air flow tanks see Cubis Pro and Starr Pure. The reason being is simple: no possibility of leaking so I trust throwing it into my coat pocket with no risk of leaking. I went this direction due to several highly rated tanks constantly seeping/leaking: the original crown and subtank mini.

Currently when I fill the Big Baby I do the following:
- Close AFC.
- Open top fill and fill immediately no pausing.
- Wipe down any e liquid that may be on the top fill gasket and close.
- With AFC closed I take 3/4 non powered pulls to reset vacuum pressure in the tank.
- Turn tank upside down and open AFC.
- I also close the AFC ever time when not in use.

Even with all of this I have yet to walk out the door with this bad boy topping a mod in my pocket.

Help me believe that I can trust the Big Baby; that I can trust bottom air flow to not go #1 in my pocket.

Top airflow is very trustworthy. But I have a bunch of bottom airflow tanks, RTAs or factory coils, that stay dry even when bouncing around in my pocket. I don't have a BB so can't offer personal experience, but I expect it will be OK. Just wear your cheaper pants the first several times until you feel comfy with it.

  • Check to see if coil is burnt. At the end of a coil’s life, juice can begin to leak through if it’s not vaporized properly. If the coil looks burnt, replace it. This should stop the leaking. (I have noticed more leaking from the 0.15ohm compared to the 0.4ohm coil)
  • Check to see if glass is chipped or cracked. If this is the case, replace the glass!
  • When you fill the tank, close the airflow holes. This creates a vacuum effect where juice can seep through when filling if they are open. Closing them off when filling the tank can stop the juice from flowing right through.
  • If tank is still leaking, kick your wattage up. The coil may not be getting hot enough to vaporize the liquid properly, which can cause leaking. Check the coil to see what the proper wattage is for firing.
  • Make sure everything is screwed on nice and tight! (be sure you can still unscrew everything without using other tools)

No leaks on mine either, I bought another Big baby beast tank because it came with an RBA deck, I'm using it with a SS Clapton dual coil, lots of smoke and flavor. I'd agree with the try to find the leak, check the air flow at the bottom, run some tissue in there, if the tissue gets wet it's going through the atomizer.

So glad to see you got the full BBB. I was going to buy just the BB rba head for my BBB that came with my G320. Did a bit of research, found out it uses a taller glass section than stock coils. I haven't found the glass anywhere that I trust giving my card info to. So I compromised, I stole the rba head and glass from my friend who doesn't build. Just trying to finish the stock coils I already have, before I start using it full time.

I use my BBB as my primary tank right now. The only thing I do is
1) close afc
2) open top fill
3) fill tank
4) close top fill
5) open afc
6) vape on it
I have had some juice in the airflow, but honestly, it's better to call it condensation. It has never been enough to make a mess. I have my setup in my front pocket almost all the time(aside from when it's in my hand or I'm asleep) There is a fair amount of cotton, and as long as you don't let it get to a burnt point, no issues. I love the tank, the stock coils, everything but the price tag on the stock coils. BBB gets my seal of approval, which means very little unfortunately.

So not to change the subject but since I was the OP hey...

I want to thank everyone for the thoughts on bottomenair flow and leaking or for that matter not leaking. :)

So I haven't had any leaks. Though I still don't 100% trust the BBB in a pocket but the vape quality is totally worth it. Now I have a new question: is there a way to do a single coil build with the BBB RBA section? I ask only because it doesn't come with a plug for one side. So is it possible to do a single coil build without one?

I should have included the info about the larger glass piece since it's important info that is hard to find, I tried to put the deck in and was wondering why it didn't seem to fit then I looked at the glass pieces and realized you need the larger glass.
Single Coil Build...
I've done the dual coil build using the coils that were supplied and think it came out very good, good flavor and vapor. My vaporizer uses a .4 ohm SS coil so each coil for a dual must be .8 ohms. For a single coil that would have to be the .4 ohms. I've noticed in some RBA's that for single coils they block off one of the airflow inlets.
Over all I'm very happy with Smok, there G-priv gets you away from all the clicking and the tanks seem to be some of the best out there.

If you got the RBA with the BBB, the package already contains the additional taller glass tank required. If you want to use the RBA on a BB, you need the kit which includes the RBA and extension glass. The extension glass for the BB is not interchangeable with the one from the BBB. The BB is a ~23 mm tank and the BBB is a 25 mm tank. Here's a source from a US vendor if you want the BB version Rebuildable Atomizer Head RBA Head for SMOKTech TFV8 Baby Beast

I got the RBA up and going, I'm using it now and it's working as it should. I just got some info on the SMOK TFV12 Cloud Beast King RBA Edition, I'll probably get it although I think it is a bit of overkill. Smok has the lowest prices for it which is surprising. Everything I got from Smok seems great so I'll give it a try.
I looked at your link and there it is with the glass, well now I have 2 tanks and some atomizers I'm sure I'll need
