Baton Rouge woman killed by train in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, Ala — A 20-year-old woman was killed when she was hit by a train early this morning in Tuscaloosa.

Katie Keogh was walking with several other people in the 1400 block of 10th Avenue when they attempted to beat a Norfolk Southern train.

Witnesses tried to perform CPR until medical personnel arrived, but she was pronounced deceased on the scene by medical personnel.

Keogh was visiting the area from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
