You can apply for Champions League final tickets from today.

The final, which is taking place in Cardiff, will see two of the best teams in European club football compete for the coveted Champions League trophy on June 3.

This is how you can apply for tickets to the final, which is being held in the capital's Principality Stadium .

How do I apply?

The ticket application window for the 2017 UEFA Champions League Final opens today (Friday, March 17) 2017 at 11am UK time and closes on Tuesday, March 28 2017 at 11am.

Once the ticket portal opens, you can apply from here .

The Uefa website has warned people that this is the only official sales channel for all general public tickets to the final.

The site also says: "This is NOT a first come first served ticket sales, you have until March 28 at 12:00CET [11am in the UK] to apply for tickets and time of accessing the portal will not influence your chance of being successful in the lottery."

You'll find out on April 7 if your application is succesful.

How much does a ticket cost?

Ticket prices will be made available during the application phase.

How many tickets can I apply for?

The Champions League final is coming to Cardiff

Each applicant can apply for a maximum of two tickets within the same price category.

During application, you have to enter details of the guest who will be going to the final with you.

Tickets are for the personal use of the applicant and the guest only and the applicant must attend the game.

Uefa warns that "neither the applicant nor their guest may sell, offer for sale, auction, resell or otherwise transfer tickets".
