- Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2019So for years, I have insisted that the 90s had a lot of good comics. And that the reputation of the era was undeserved. Then I read this. This is a terrible, terrible set of comics. Awful art, with unrealistic poses and absurd costume designs. Blustery characterization that doesn't match anything I have seen with most of these characters. (Did Dan Vado read a single issue of the Captain Atom comic before writing this?) And an incoherent plotline that can be best summarized as "stuff happens, and happens so more." If you ever wondered why DC cancelled JLA and started over with Morrison and Porter, it's garbage like this that explains why.

5.0 out of 5 stars The beginning of the end
The beginning of Extreme Justice is here. The JLA,JLTF and JLI team up to stop the Overmaster can they stop his menace or will the different teams hinder each other as different ideologies clash? In the aftermath the teams say goodbye to a friend as Triumph starts to reappear before Zero Hour.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great collection of 90's stories
Really liked this collection, more than I did the first volume, which I already loved. It's a fun ride, with very exciting art, mainly by Marc Campos. A very exciting line-up, though, at times, the conflict for leadership between Capain Atom and Wonder Woman seems a bit too forced. The crossover, the most ambitious of the Justice League books ever since Breadowns, which covers more than the second half of the book would happen very differently nowadays, with battles extending over at least a dozen issues, while here it happens over a few panels in each of the six issues. Maybe the crossover could have benefited of a few more issues, for it does feel rushed in certain points, but it's still a very fun book. I hope DC continues to publish more volumes of this collection, for I really would like to read the next big crossover, Way of the Warrior, in one single book,, though I doubt it considering that the next writer, Gerard Jones, has been blackballed due to some very serious charges.
