Sam Warburton has been Wales' best player in the Six Nations so far, according to supporters.

Wales rugby fans have been rating the performances of the Welsh players in their thousands after each of the three games so far, with the former skipper just coming out on top with an average rating of 7.1 out of 10.

Back row colleagues Justin Tipuric (6.9) and Ross Moriarty (6.9) are next in line, with Moriarty's high standing largely due to his rating of 9.1 out of 10 for that barnstorming performance against England. Scrum-half Rhys Webb (6,7), who was the highest rated player against Scotland on Saturday, and Alun Wyn Jones (6.6) make up the top five.

The Welsh back row has been perhaps a rare success story in this year's tournament, with Warburton and Tipuric finally proving they can certainly play together, and Moriarty keeping Taulupe Faletau out of the side.

At the other end of the scale, the men with the lower marks are largely made up of players who have only had fleeting influence on proceedings so far.

Bottom of the pile is Alex Cuthbert, whose one performance against England saw him given a mark of just 3.8 put of 10.

Scott Baldwin (4.4), Jamie Roberts (4.5) and Faletau (4.8) are the next players with the lowest marks, although they have all only featured as replacements, making little impact.

Sam Warburton has been Wales' best player but George North has struggled

George North, who has started two games against Italy and Scotland, has only scored an average of 4.8 out of 10 despite being seen as a key man for Wales and the Lions. North scored a decent 6.7 in a try-scoring performance against Italy but flopped against Scotland, picking up a mark of just 2.8.

Elsewhere, the general mediocre marks reflect the disappointing Championship Wales have endured so far.
