I recently (3 months ago) purchased a kit, the Joyetech Ego Mega Twist Plus with Cubis Pro tank.

The battery's micro-USB charging port just broke off, completely, following a few days of loose connection. It seems to be completely broken, ie. the metal port is coming out of the crevice, and it doesn't work at all.

I want to replace the battery, because I rather like this Cubis Pro tank and "LVC Clapton" atomizer, and don't want it to go to waste.

However, I don't want to risk purchasing another of the same battery.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a quality battery (I'm willing to spend some money here) that will fit comfortably with the Cubis Pro tank. The threading is standard 510, but the overall diameter of the tank and battery are quite thick, at 22mm (according to Joyetech's product info).

I'm alright with a little bit of difference between the battery and tank size, as long as it won't look completely awkward.

Appreciating any and all info! Thanks for reading.

About any mod will power your tank. There are a number of internal battery mods you could use. Eleaf makes some popular ones - there are the iStick 40W and iStick Power. However, you'd also be depending on the USB port for charging with those, and once it goes the mod is done.

The other alternative is a replaceable battery mod, where you take out the battery to charge it. Eleaf's Pico and Joyetech's eVic VTwo Mini are good places to start. If you go with one of those, you'll need:
  • The mod
  • Separate batteries
  • A good charger
You can check out Mooch's blog for a list of good batteries and reliable vendors. It's really important to get a name brand battery (LG/Sony/Samsung) from a reliable vendor because there are a lot of counterfeit batteries around and they can be dangerous.

A good charger is also important. Xtar and Nitecore are the makers who are usually recommended around here.
