ESPN's Zach Lowe relayed a bunch of Boston Celtics trade rumor tidbits in his latest piece, which was published Monday night.

Among other details, Lowe provided more insight into Boston's desire to pursue Jimmy Butler and Paul George. While the Celtics dream is not exactly news (more on it here), Lowe outlined the situation well, sharing a belief the Celtics are "zeroed in" on the two stars right now, despite the unlikelihood (for now, at least) of prying one free.

Lowe also reported the Celtics have talked to the Los Angeles Clippers "intermittently" about Blake Griffin, but the scribe considers a trade "extremely unlikely." The price would be high -- Lowe explained more in his piece (go read it!) --and Boston would need to be careful about acquiring Griffin because he can opt for free agency at the end of this season.

Read Lowe's story for plenty more about the Celtics' mindset and possible options.

Despite his typically thorough reporting, Lowe did not reveal the meaning behind the emoji Isaiah Thomas used to drive Twitter crazy:

It only took those two eyes to convince Boston fans to refresh Twitter every two seconds for the rest of Monday night. Celtics assistant general manager Mike Zarren sent this reaction:

But what is happening, Mike? WHAT?!?!
