Lagos-based Fastlaunch looking for next incubator cohort

Lagos-based incubator Fastlaunch has opened applications to the 2017 edition of its Social Entrepreneurship Challenge programme, looking for startups with the potential to solve Nigeria’s and Africa’s social problems.

Disrupt Africa reported Fastlaunch became the newest addition to Lagos’ incubator network last year; offering workspace, mentorship and funding to startups in the city.  Fastlaunch has a twist on the “typical” startup incubator, however, in that it focuses on family-run social impact businesses.

The incubator has now opened applications to the 2017 edition of its programme, which will focus on ideas and solutions with the potential to solve water, health, tech and education challenges in Nigeria and across the continent.

Successful applications will participate in the three month programme – beginning on March 20 -, receive mentorship and workspace at the Fastlaunch space.

Seed funding will also be provided to the selected startups, with the amount decided on a case-by-case basis.

Applications can be made here, until March 10.
