Addy Raj reveals why he turned down part in Star Cinema movie Beauty and the Bestie

Masayang-masaya si Addy Raj bilang isa sa mga leading men sa GMA-7 primetime teleserye na Meant to Be.

Indian si Addy, pero, nararamdaman daw niya ang mainit na pagtanggap sa kanya ng Pinoy.

Ito ang nakita niya sa mga out-of-town shows nila, mall shows, at maging sa teleserye kunsaan kasama niya sina Ivan Dorschner, Jak Roberto, Ken Chan, at Barbie Forteza.

Ayon kay Addy nang makausap namin sa taping ng Meant to Be kamakailan, "It feels good. I'm just happy that all the hard work are being paid off and I'm just really thankful for all the people supporting us.

"They're not judging me for not being fluent in Tagalog and, of course, I'm a new actor and it's hard for me to come in the same level with anyone else.

"And people are accepting me, I really appreciate that."

Natawa si Addy dahil sa pambububuko sa kanya ni Barbie noon na kahit 3 A.M. ay tine-text niya ito.

Ganun pa rin ba siya?

"We're practically together all the time," natawang sabi niya kaya hindi na raw niya ito kinukulit ng madaling-araw.

Dahil palagi silang magkasama ni Barbie, ano ang mga nadiskubre ni Addy tungkol sa kanyang leading lady?

"I discovered a lot about Barbie, like I've said, I never imagine that it's so hard, the whole schedules. But I just find it amazing how she can do the work so easily, smile at every one.

"She's lacking of sleep every time and retake and retake, but still, she's okay with it. In a snap of a second, she would be crying and then, cut, a minute, she's laughing.

"Kaya I really have high respect for Barbie because she's really good with what she does. I hope I can be like that in the coming days."

Isa raw sa gustong paghandaan ni Addy ay ang makagawa ng pelikula.

Nang pasukin daw niya ang showbiz, ang unang inisip niya ay pelikula ang gagawin niya.

"Actually, that's one thing I'm looking forward to. When I started, I wanted to be an actor and the first thing in my mind was actually movies.

"But it happened, but of course, Meant to Be might even be better than movie. But then, movie is one thing that I've always wanted to do and I hope I can try and have my first movie."


MISSED CHANCE TO DO MOVIE. Naikuwento ni Addy na muntik na siyang makasama sa 2015 Metro Manila Film Fest entry na Beauty and the Bestie.

Nadiskubre raw siya ng namayapang director na si Wenn Deramas sa Facebook at inalok ng role sa Star Cinema movie.

Kuwento ni Addy, "But I had a problem. One day before the shoot, I also had a commercial and I had to choose between the movie and the commercial and I chose the commecial because in the movie, it was only a short role.

"I apologized to him and he said, he'll give me a role in his next movie, but sadly, he passed away."

Playful playboy ang karakter na ginagampanan ni Addy sa Meant to Be.

Pero ang pagiging masayahin lang daw ang totoo sa kung ano siya sa totoong buhay.

"I think, this part of me is true. Besides playboy part, mostly everything is true.

"Our character was based also in our real personality."

Hindi pa raw masabi ni Addy kung mai-in-love nga ba siya kay Mariko na ginagampanan naman ni Mika dela Cruz sa Meant To Be.

"I don't know yet so far because I'm dating Mariko, but in the coming episodes, there will be coming issues. We don't know yet."


ON HIS LOVE LIFE. Long-term ang mga relasyon ni Addy sa mga naging past girlfriends niya sa bansa nila sa India. Dalawa pa lang daw ang nagiging girlfriend niya at anim na taon ang itinagal ng huli.

"She knows that I'm an actor here and I'm friends with all my exes," saad niya.

Wala pa raw siyang nagiging Filipina girlfriend.

Natawa si Addy nang matanong tungkol sa virginity niya dahil ayon dito, nanatili pa rin daw siyang virgin.

"I hope I can lose my virginity here," natatawa pa rin niyang sabi.

Twenty-one years old na si Addy at kahit dalawang long-term relationship niya, nanatili raw siyang walang karanasan pagdating sa sex.
