The College Football Playoff is almost here, and of course everybody has an opinion on who is going to win it a— FORGET ALL THAT.

Everyone knows that the only predictions that matter come from video games. So I simulated the Rose and Sugar semifinal matchups in NCAA Football 14’s Mascot Mode. LET’S GET TO THE HIGHLIGHTS!

Rose Bowl: No. 2 Oklahoma vs. No. 3 Georgia

Baker Mayfield who? It’s all about Georgia Bulldogs QB No. 1.

Followed by a touchdown from Bulldogs RB ... who is also No. 1!

After a brief retaliation from the Sooners, the Bulldogs struck one more time before the half!

A simple field goal extended the Georgia lead, giving the Bulldogs a solid cushion entering the fourth quarter.

As if it couldn’t get worse for the team full of Boomers, the Hairy Dawgs decided to style on them some more with this late grab.

Did he get one paw in?

YUP!

Georgia’s defense had been dominating the Sooners all game.

Almost down and out, the Sooners found the end zone ...

... and recovered the onside kick ...

... but their luck ran out on the ensuing drive.

Ballgame. The Dawgs are advancing to play for their first national championship since 1980.

And now it’s time for the other semifinal!

Sugar Bowl: No. 1 Clemson vs. No. 4 Alabama

This started off as a back-and-forth game. Both teams were struggling to get anything going on offense. Alabama had a shot to strike early, but Clemson saved itself with a red zone interception.

After an Alabama field goal, Clemson struck back with one of the most epic video game runs you’ll ever see.

After that, however, Alabama marched down the field with ease.

... and took control heading into the half. Other than that monster run by the Clemson QB, there was not much offense coming from the Tigers. The Tigers also showed signs of not being able to stop the Alabama power run game.

In the second half, Alabama’s rushing attack continued to dominate. There was no stopping the Tide!

The Tide moved it all the way down to another goal-line stand and converted on a risky fourth down that changed the dynamic of the game!

(That route was always OP, to be honest)

Clemson tried to ramp up its offense but ... NOT SO FAST!

That interception turned into yet another Alabama score!

Clemson came back with a garbage-time touchdown, but it was too little, too late. The Tide win Round III of Bama-Clemson.
