Humorous Urban Interventions on the Streets of France by OakOak
Based in the old industrial town of St. Etienne, France, street artist oakoak (previously) relies on a keen sense of observation to create his humorous interventions on walls, streets, and sidewalks. Cracks and crumbling infrastructure become the backdrop for superheroes and other pop culture characters who interact with their surrounds in unexpected ways. Urban Diversion: Playful Street Art Interventions on the Streets of France by OakOak
Street artist OakOak (previously) continues to bring smiles and double-takes to his hometown of St. Etienne, France, an old industrial town with drab facades and cracked sidewalks ripe for his unique brand of visual jokes. Some of OakOak's best works have been gathered into a new book, Urban Diversion (in French), and the artist had an exhibition earlier this year at le cabinet d'amateur earlier this year.

The French artist's first show in Spain just opened on March 1 at Montana Gallery in Barcelona, and is up until April 21, 2018. You can also follow his work on Instagram and…

Brilliant Urban Interventions by OakOak Turn Crumbling City Infrastructure into a Visual Playground
According to the Outsiders, street artist OaKoAk lives and works in St. Etienne, France where he works not as an artist but instead at a desk as a "pen pusher". Untrained in painting or fine art of any kind, he instead uses stencils, paint, and occasionally adhesive superheros to give new meaning to simple cracks in the ground or crumbling building facades. You can see tons more on his blog as well as Facebook.
