Plant description:

Rosewood is a big tree growing up to 35 meters height, it is deciduous, commonly found in Western Ghats areas, leaves are small and round, have a thick foliage, flowers are small, seeds are thin and round like a locket, heartwood id dark brown in color which is used to make furniture, it is very costly wood.

To treat gonorrhea, leprosy, boils, vomiting, arthritis, rheumatic pains (No scientific evidence) Body pain, Skin diseases, Parts of the tree are useful as stimulant and appetizer and also useful to treat dyspepsia, diarrhea, leprosy, obesity and worms, ulcers, wounds, eczema and pimples, Bark of rosewood is reported to be used for body pain.
