Kiev Major main event rescheduled

The Kiev Major main event has been pushed one week further to avoid an overlap with other potential LAN events.

Initially scheduled for April 20-23, the Kiev Major has been pushed for the last weekend of April, from 27th to 30th at the National Palace of Arts Ukraine. Up until now, no other tournament has been announced for the month of April, the only other event that’s relatively close to the Kiev Major is the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2017 which will be held in Shanghai, China from March 28 to April 4. With an almost four week gap between DAC and the Major we should expect another tournament to be announced shortly.

Although there’s still plenty of time from now to the end of April, when the Kiev Major main event will commence, the tickets for the live audience will go on sale in just a couple of days at fairly cheap prices. However, each day of the event requires an individual ticket. For each of the days leading to the grand finals the ticket costs ?130 (~5$), while the grand finals ticket is ?400 (~ 15$). Tickets will go on sale on February 22 at 10:00 10:00 a.m. Eastern European time via Karabas.

The Kiev Major qualifiers are set to commence on March 6 with the open brackets, followed by regional qualifiers on March 10-13. The direct invites for the Kiev Major are expected to be announced sometime after the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3, which is scheduled for February 23-26.
