Bindi Irwin shared an emotional photo of her family to Instagram on Thursday, telling her fans that she was with the people she loves most.

The image, snapped by her American boyfriend Chandler Powell, showed Bindi with her mum Terry and brother Robert, in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

'Family hugs...One of my favourite days, with the human beings that mean everything to me,' the 18-year-old captioned the picture.

The warm words follow a touching picture and tribute message to her late father posted by the teenage conservationist late last month.

Bindi shared a candid photo of her dad wearing his trademark khaki gear and grinning at a cockatoo to her 1.3 million followers. 

The photo, posted on what would have been the nature expert's 55th birthday, writing, 'Always in our hearts.'

Meanwhile, according to New Idea Bindi's boyfriend Chandler is set to become 'the face of Australia Zoo.'

The magazine has reportedly interviewed zoo employees, who have spoken under the condition of anonymity.

They claim that US-born Chandler 'is being trained to take over the conservation side of the park.'

Bindi and mum Terri believe that the 20-year-old is ''so much like Steve' and 'think it's a miracle they've found each other.''

Chandler, who has been dating Bindi for two years, is 'enthusiastic and not afraid to get his hands dirty, just like Steve was' according to one employee.
